The ending ceremony of annual sports gala held at University of Education lower Mall Campus in which teams consisting of students from different departments of campus & division participated in various categories. The flamboyant episode of sports gala began with the recitation of Holy Quran whereas Vice Chancellor University of Education Dr. Faiz-ul-Hasan was present as chief guest. Competitions of Athletics, fifty meter, hundred & two hundred meter race, Tug of War, Badminton and other games held on the last day of the event. Number of students and university officers were present at the spot. Competitions were also held between teaching and non-teaching staff of the University. Chairman sports committee counseled the students to demonstrate sports man spirit in the sports and she also greeted Vice Chancellor on successful launching of this event. Registrar Bashir Ahmad Ch., Director Division of Arts and Social Sciences Dr. Mubasher Nadeem, Principal Lower Mall Campus Prof.Tasaduq Hussain Khokhar, Controller Examinations Dr.Ashiq Hussain Dogar, Treasurer Mian M.Arif and other professors and lecturers were also present at this eve. Afterwards, Vice Chancellor and other respected guests distributed prizes and shields among the winning teams and students.
Principal Lower Mall Campus Prof.Tasaduq Hussain Khokhar appreciated the revolutionary steps taken by Vice Chancellor for the progress and betterment of university and advised students to serve Pakistan with true passion and missionary zeal in the light of Quaid’s sayings.
Vice Chancellor University of Education Dr. Faiz-ul-Hasan greeted the sports committee on efficacious launch of sports gala and raised the spirits of students. He directed them to continue such kinds of healthy activities in future as healthy body has a healthy mind. Moreover he said that Nations that provide their students equal opportunities for curricular and co-curricular activities always make progress by leaps and bounds. He also said that University of Education will not leave any stone unturned to continue these activities.
