MPhil Education

Objectives

The objectives of MPhil Education program are to:

  • Prepare educational leaders for educational institutions of public and private sector
  • Provide the learners an understanding of educational process
  • Develop proficiency in teaching-learning process and methodologies
  • Provide the learners with knowledge about educational plans, policies and their implementation
  • Provide skills in methodology of conducting various types of research and their importance in education
  • Enable the learners aware of various techniques of educational measurement and evaluation
  • Enable the learner aware of modern trends in educational process

Entry Requirements

MA Education/MEd with minimum 2.5 CGPA (semester system) and 2nd division ( in annual system) are eligible to apply for other conditions see MPhil rules.

Age Limit

Age limit is not applicable in this program.

Merit Calculation

The merit shall be determined on the basis of the following criteria:

Academic qualifications 40 marks *
Publications in HEC approved journals (2.5 marks per publication) 5 marks
Professional experience in relevant field 5 marks (1 mark for each year of job in the relevant field)
Discipline based test to be conducted by the relevant Campus/Division 50 marks (mandatory to pass; the minimum passing score shall be 25 out of 50)
