Master of Philosophy Educational Leadership and Policy Studies
Objectives
Through theprogram,students will gain the knowledge to:
- describe the ways in which leadership roles and processes may be
influenced by political ideologies,and globalization;
- demonstrate skills required for a school head teacher as an
instructionalleader;
- understand processof evaluation of teachers,principalsand staff;
- analyze educational organizations from a variety of perspectives
and theories;
- understand policyprocessesand theirconsequences;
- become critical leaders, policymakers, and scholars in the field of
educationalpolicy;
- analyzeand applytheory to practiceineducationalpolicy;
- Compare various national and international education policies;
- conceptualize and complete rigorous research projects as an
independent scholar using qualitative, quantitative and/or mixed
methods approaches.
Entry Requirements
Master of Arts degree in Education, Master in Education, BEd Hons or equivalent Fulfill admission requirements as mention in the Rules and Regulations for MPhil/MS.
Applicants are also required to pass UE Entry Test
