Trainings and Workshops

HEC requires universities to periodically arrange trainings and workshops on quality assurance awareness. For this University of Education has arranged various events which includes World Quality Day and periodic training workshops on self- assessment for its academic programs in order to improve them and ensure high academic standards. Self-assessment is an important tool that provides feedback for faculty and administration to initiate action plans for improvement. Following training sessions has been organized by QEC University of Education.

Assessment Team Workshop AT members, QEC members, University Officials To train the AT members about assessment of the programs through SARs and submission of AT findings & Rubric Forms.
World Quality Day University Faculty Members, QEC Staff, Students, University Officials, Representative from other Universities to raise awareness of how quality approaches can make a tangible impact on educational organizations and to make collaboration in terms of quality of education with other Universities.

Seminar for celebration of World Quality Day in University of Education; dated 21.12.2016

2.      Prof. Dr. Rauf-i-Azam (Vice Chancellor, University Education, Lahore).

Director (Division of Science & Technology), Principal Township Campus, Director PHEC, Director Research and Faculty Members from all Divisions and Campuses of University.

To promote the importance of Quality and the contribution it makes towards the growth and prosperity of the nations.

The proposed theme of the seminar was “Quality in Higher Education”.

Seminar on celebration of World Quality Day in collaboration with Directorate of Quality Enhancement Cell of Virtual University, Pakistan; dated 28.12.2016.

3.      Dr. Naveed A. Malik (Rector Virtual University)

To stimulate critical thinking  as to how QECs and faculty can develop the competence to meet challenges faced by Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) for producing effective graduates.

 

The proposed theme of the seminar was “Producing Effective Graduates: A Challenge for Quality Assurance in Higher Education”.

 

Awareness Seminar & Training Workshop of Program Teams; dated 19.01.2017.

To aware and train PT members regarding implementation of  Self- Assessment criteria on the selected program of respective campuses/divisions, preparation of SAR and filling the SA proformas.

Awareness Seminar & Training Workshop of Assessment Team (ATs) members Regarding Implementation of Rubric Form of Self-Assessment (2016-17); dated 11.05.2017.

To train the AT members about the criteria set by HEC for assessment of the programs through SARs prepared by the program team members and submission of Rubric Score about the program.

Awareness Seminar & Training Workshop of Assessment Team (ATs) members Regarding Formulation of AT-Findings of Self-Assessment (2016-17); dated 11.05.2017.

Training Workshop of Affiliated Colleges on Implementation of Minimum Quality Standards; dated 11.07.2017.

The purpose of training was to make aware the affiliated colleges as how they can develop the competence to meet challenges faced by Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) for producing effective graduates by implementing Minimum Quality Standards in their colleges.
Training workshop of Program Team Members PT members, QEC members, University Officials Quality Enhancement Cell, University of Education, organized a two-day workshop titled “Training workshop of Program Team Members” on February 27 and 28, 2019 at Meeting Room of Admin Block -II of University of Education to train faculty members and to assist the departments, institutes, centers in improving the quality of teaching and research compatible to the international standards.
Training workshop of Assessment Team Members AT members, QEC members, University Officials On June 12 and 21, 2019, , a two day training workshop on “Training workshop of Assessment Team Members” was held at the Multipurpose Hall of the main campus of University of Education as well as in Multan Campus. The workshop was hosted by the Quality Enhancement Cell (QEC).
