Introduction:

Dr. Muhammad Atif did his master degree in Organic Chemistry from Agriculture University Faisalabad and M.Phil from HEJ (ICCBS) Karachi University. Then he went to Technical University of Turin, Italy for the doctoral degree. His research interests are in the fields of composite materials especially the polymer matrix composites. During his PhD research work, he has worked on two projects: first was about synthesis and characterization of covalently thiolated carbon fillers and second was about UV curing strategies for epoxy composites in thin layers as well as in bulk quantities. 

His research interests include:

1.    Synthesis and surface modification of carbon fillers (through thermal and photochemical methods)

2.    Epoxidation strategies for biobased materials (Thermal approaches)

3.    UV curing and Thermo-mechanical analysis of epoxy composites

4.    Kinetic study of photochemical reactions
