Introduction:

Dr. Muhammad Asad holds the position of Assistant Professor in the Department of Zoology since his commencement on January 4, 2023. Specializing in toxicology, he focuses on the realms of aquatic and environmental toxicology. Dr. Asad is dedicated to mitigating the adverse effects of toxicity through the utilization of natural plants. His current research delves into the toxicity of nanomaterials, specifically carbon nanotubes and graphene nanosheets. Additionally, he is actively engaged in the study of plant species such as Solanum nigrum, Panicum miliaceum, Albizia lebbeck, and Tamarix aphylla.
Dr. Asad has been instrumental in guiding and mentoring students, overseeing the progress of six master's degree candidates under his supervision. Four of his students have successfully completed their theses under his guidance, while four others under his co-supervision. His commitment to advancing knowledge in the field of toxicology and mentoring the next generation of scholars is evident in his multifaceted research and successful student mentorship.
