Speaking at the opening ceremony, Chief Guest Minister for Information and Technology, Punjab Dr. Arslan Khalid said that the government has always taken such decisions keeping in mind the economic situation of the beloved country and the Business Incubation Center is a link in this chain. He emphasized that now is the time to create our own business and employment opportunities. Trade is many times better than job, people in foreign countries like to start their own business instead of jobs. Their main focus is generating new startup ideas and business development. This Business Incubation Center facility will also change the job-by-job trend of the young generation and encourage them to set up their own businesses. Human resource is our strength that is why we should invest on it. Minister for Information Technology Dr. Arslan Khalid visited the BIC (Regional Plan 9) and congratulated the Vice Chancellor of University of Education, Lahore for establishing a center equipped with all facilities in a short time. On this occasion, Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Talat Naseer Pasha (S.I.) said that due to the weak economic conditions nowadays, initiatives like Business Incubation Center have become the need of the hour, by using which the youth can stand on their own feet and improve not only their condition but also the economy of the country as a whole. The Vice-Chancellor expressed hope that this center will play a very important role in creating business opportunities for students apart from traditional jobs in the coming time.

Meanwhile, University of Education, Lahore organized an awareness walk and seminar on breast cancer yesterday at Main Campus, Township, which was presided over by Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Talat Naseer Pasha (S.I.) while the Chief Guest was the Chief Executive Officer Pink Ribbon Pakistan Mr. Umar Aftab. On this occasion, the students presented a special play and a short video was also played to highlight the importance of Pink Ribbon Day, which was highly appreciated by the audience. Addressing the seminar, Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Talat Naseer Pasha (S.I.) said that the solution to all problems, including diseases, is not possible until we ourselves are ready to get rid of them. In today's age, when every individual has the freedom to express their problems openly, then why do women remain silent? The purpose of organizing this event is also to raise awareness among women to openly express their thoughts on all issues related to their health and society, because in this way they can get out of the circle of unnecessary traditions and wrong thinking. He said that you should learn to speak for your rights while believing in yourself, silence for no reason is no less than a great sin. Speaking on the occasion, Chief Executive Officer of Pink Ribbon Pakistan Mr. Umar Aftab said that we started the Pink Ribbon campaign in Pakistan in 2004 because we felt that no special attention was paid to this disease at any level. And due to lack of awareness, thousands of deaths occur in Pakistan every year. He said that because of unnecessary shame and modesty women bear the pain of breast cancer and do not mention it to anyone is a very wrong idea, which we need to change immediately. On this occasion, the medical experts also informed the students about the methods of self-diagnosis of breast cancer. At the end of the seminar, the UE Focal Person Pink Ribbon Day Dr. Zahra Noreen thanked the participants.
