The International White Cane Safety Day was observed at University of Education,
Township Campus, Lahore.
In this regard, a walk to disseminate awareness about the White Cane Safety Day
was held at University of Education. Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Talat Naseer Pasha
(S.I.) accompanied by Director Division of Education, Dr. Ayaz Muhammad Khan,
Chairperson Department of Special Education, Dr. Shaheen Pasha and blind
faculty member Dr. aysha Saleem along with faculty members, students and staff
participated in the awareness walk to show the solidarity with people having visual
impairment.
At the end, Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Talat Naseer Pasha expressed his views that
prospective teachers should put their heart and soul in learning best teaching
strategies to serve the people with special needs which will definitely be a positive
step forward nation building. He said we have blind teachers here in our faculty
who are doing their job excellently and we are proud of them. Dr. Pasha said we
should try our level best to provide every possible facility to our such faculty
members so that they can concentrate their focus on imparting education to their
students.
