On the eve of the 10th anniversary of the China Belt and Road Initiative, a Joint Exhibition of Chinese and Pakistani Artists Inaugurated at UE Main Campus

On the eve of the 10th anniversary of the China Belt and Road Initiative, an exhibition titled "Star Moon Road; China-Pakistan Contemporary Arts Exchange Exhibition," has started at the University of Education, Lahore in collaboration with the Lahore Museum on May 3, 2023. The opening ceremony of the exhibition was held in the main campus township of the university, which was presided over by Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Talat Naseer Pasha (S.I., H.I.) while the chief guest of the ceremony was Punjab Health Minister Dr. Javed Akram. 16 famous artists from China and 2 from Pakistan are participating in the exhibition, whose works will be exhibited. Chinese Deputy Consul General Mr. Cao Ke, well-known political and social personalities of Pakistan, vice chancellors of various universities, intellectuals, experts related to the department of culture and arts, university directors/principals and students were present in the opening ceremony.
Addressing the opening ceremony of the exhibition, Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Talat Nasir Pasha (S.I., H.I.) said that China is our great and sincere friend, who supported us in every difficult hour, the people of these countries are also have deep love for each other, so it is very important for the people of both countries to be aware of each other's culture, arts and traditions. And that is the main purpose of today's exhibition. Through the works of art presented in this exhibition, one can see the glimpse of recognition regarding the culture, behavior, positive role of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor and the friendship that has strengthened over time. The chief guest of the event, Provincial Health Minister Dr. Javed Akram said in his address that art has no borders, cultural exchange through the exhibition of works of art is bringing the people of both countries closer to each other. The China Belt and Road Initiative not only promotes economic development but also promotes Pakistan-China cultural, educational exchanges and cooperation. The Health Minister commended the management of the University of Education, Lahore, especially the Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Talat Naseer Pasha (S.I., H.I.) for the grand exhibition. Speaking on this occasion, Chinese Deputy Consul General Mr. Cao Ke said that the exhibition of the best works of Pakistan is continuing in China, which will provide a new way for the Chinese people to understand Pakistani culture and civilization. Similarly, this process is going on in Pakistan as well, by which the people of both the countries are getting an opportunity to understand each other. Undoubtedly, this activity will further strengthen the relations between the two countries. Chinese Deputy Consul General Mr. Cao Ke also expressed his happiness over the holding of the exhibition. Later, the participants of the event visited the artworks and appreciated the work of the artists.
