Three days 2nd International Conference on “Trends and Research in Chemistry (Hybrid)” was inaugurated at the University of Education, Lahore, with great enthusiasm and zeal on May 16, 2023 at Main Campus, Township. The ceremony was presided over by the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Talat Naseer Pasha (S.I., H.I.), while the Chairman of Punjab Higher Education Commission (PHEC), Prof. Dr. Shahid Munir was the chief guest. The eminent researchers and scholars from more than 30 countries including USA, Netherlands, France, Malaysia, China, Great Britain, Bulgaria, Australia, Iran, Turkey, Saudi Arabia etc. are participating. Besides, a large number of scholars from different universities of Pakistan are also participating in this conference. About one hundred research papers will be presented by researchers and scholars in the conference. At the beginning of the ceremony, the Chairperson of the Department of Chemistry Professor Dr. Mian Habib ur Rahman briefed the participants about the aims and objectives of the said conference. The conference aims to provide a platform for researchers, academicians, and industry professionals to share their research findings, exchange ideas, and discuss the latest trends and innovations in the field of chemistry. The conference also seeks to promote collaboration between researchers and institutions from different countries to advance research in the field of chemistry.

In his address, Prof. Dr. Talat Naseer Pasha (S.I., H.I.) welcomed the participants and highlighted the importance of chemistry in our daily lives and the role of universities in promoting research and innovation. He also emphasized the need for collaboration between academia, industry, and government to address the challenges facing the country and the world. The Chairman of PHEC, Prof. Dr. Shahid Munir, in his address, appreciated the efforts of the UE specially Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Talat Naseer Pasha (S.I., H.I.) in organizing the conference and emphasized the need for international collaboration to promote research and innovation in the field of chemistry. The scholars from different countries also delivered their speeches at the ceremony, highlighting their research findings and the latest trends and innovations in the field of chemistry. UE Lahore based Directors/Principals and large number of students were present in the opening ceremony.
