UE Hosts International Conference on "Zoological Emerging Scientific Trends (ZEST 2024)"

The University of Education, Lahore, inaugurated the third international conference titled "Zoological Emerging Scientific Trends (ZEST 2024)" on October 16, 2024. This two-day event, continuing until October 17, has brought together scholars from 09 foreign countries including Turkey, Denmark, the United States, Poland, the UAE, Austria, Thailand, South Korea, and the UK, as well as 23 Pakistani scholars, participating both in person and virtually. A total of 152 research papers will be presented over the course of the conference, with a total of 1,400 participants in attendance. The event was presided over by the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Education, Lahore, Prof. Dr. Akif Anwar Chaudhry. The chief guest was Prof. Dr. Muhammad Ali (S.I., T.I.), Vice-Chancellor of Punjab University, with Prof. Dr. Abdul Majeed Cheema serving as the guest of honor. Prof. Dr. Shagufta Andleeb, Chairperson of the Department of Zoology, warmly welcomed the participants and provided an overview of the conference objectives.
In his address, Prof. Dr. Akif Anwar Chaudhry emphasized that the conference serves as a valuable opportunity for scholars to learn from each other. The primary aim of ZEST 2024 is to provide an international platform for researchers to share their latest research, innovations, and experiences in zoology. He expressed his belief that the event would pave the way for increased collaboration, internationalization, and networking among zoological scientists. 
Prof. Dr. Muhammad Ali (S.I., T.I.), Vice-Chancellor of Punjab University, shared his optimism that the conference would be both impactful and productive. He referred to the present century as the "era of life sciences," highlighting how advancements in the health sector are a significant part of this field. He also congratulated Prof. Dr. Akif Anwar Chaudhry and the University of Education, Lahore, for successfully organizing the event.
A large number of faculty members, students, staff, and individuals from various sectors attended the conference. More than 10 poster presenters also contributed to the event.
