USL Table Tennis Championship Concluded at University of Education

The Premier League/University Sports League (USL) Table Tennis Championship 2019-2020 has been concluded at University of Education, Lahore, yesterday. Various universities across Punjab participated in the said league. According to the final results in men category University of Central Punjab got 1^st position, Punjab University secured 2^nd while University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences managed to secure 3^rd position. In women category, Punjab University got first, University of Lahore 2^nd while University of Central Punjab got 3^rd position.

Member of Provincial Assembly Miss. Talat Fatemeh Naqvi was the chief guest at the closing ceremony. She distributed the prizes and trophies among the winning teams. In her speech, the chief guest said that Higher Education Department has organized this event in order to promote mental & physical health of our students. We believe that we can overcome the menace of extremism in our universities while promoting non-academic/healthy activities. She appreciated the University of Education for arranging such a fabulous event.

While congratulating the winning teams and Director Sports Dr. Muhammad Umer Saleem, the Vice Chancellor, University of Education Prof. Dr. Talat Naseer Pasha (S.I.) said our aim is to improve the category of our university not only academically but also in the field of games and non-academic activities. UE Director Sports Dr. Muhammad Umer Saleem thanked the participating teams for their cooperation during the event.
