UE organized Drug Awareness Seminar

A drug awareness seminar with the title "Say No to Drugs" was arranged at University of Education, Township Campus. Brigadier Rashid Minhas, the force commander of Anti-Narcotics Force attended the seminar as chief guest. A large number of students and faculty members attended the seminar under the SoP of Covid19.

In his address Brigadier Rashid Minhas highlighted the achievements of Anti-Narcotics Force since its inception. He said so far thousands of drug sellers have been trialed. He said it is our prime responsibility to save our society from drugs. The ANF has arranged lot of awareness campaigns in educational institutions to eradicate this menace. Brigadier Rashid Minhas said we have zero tolerance policy towards drugs especially in educational institutions. Drugs addiction has not adverse effect only on physical and mental health but it is dangerous for our economy as well because after becoming drugs addicted, the person become useless as well as a burden on society, so we should try to refrain ourselves from drugs, he added.

On this occasion, the Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Talat Naseer Pasha (S.I.) said in his message that our youth is our asset so we should put all our efforts to save them from drugs. He appreciated the efforts of ANF for its role in eradication of drugs. At the end, Director Student Affairs, University of Education, Dr. Muhammad Omar Saleem thanked the speakers and audience.
