MoU Signing Ceremony between University of Education, Lahore and Punjab Information Technology Board

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed between University of Education and Punjab Information Technology Board. The signing ceremony was held at University of Education, Township Campus which was signed by the UE Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Talat Naseer Pasha (S.I.) and Director General E-Governance PITB Sajid Latif.

According to MoU, both parties will jointly work to execute the National Freelance Training Program while using their resources. Thousands of students will be provided training opportunities in order to empower unemployed youth and create self-employment opportunities. National Freelance Training Program is a project, sponsored by Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication, which aims to empower unemployed youth force by providing out of work youth and students with necessary means to earn an honorable income online. Both parties will take initiatives to create awareness about National Freelance Training Program. At least 50 percent students enrolled will be from University of Education.

According to the signed MoU, the University of Education will provide access to computer lab with capacity of at least 50 computers, besides assisting Punjab Information Technology Board to conduct training at mutually selected premises. The University of Education will supervise the training program.

On this occasion, while talking to the media, the Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Talat Naseer Pasha (S.I.) said that the signing of said MoU will usher a new era for our unemployed youth. He said after the successful completion of the training session, the participants will be able to earn handsome livelihood thus contributing their share towards economic development of Country.
