Maheen Burki is
currently serving as a lecturer (BPS 18) at the Department of Health and
Physical Education, University of Education, Lower Mall Campus, Lahore. She has
done MS in Physical Education and Sports Science from Riphah International
University, Faisalabad, Pakistan. Before joining the University of Education,
she served as a visiting faculty in the University of the Punjab, Sports
Department and Quaid-e-Azam Academy for Educational Development in Punjab. She
is the pioneer in Physical education and sports sciences program at University
of Education. She played an important role on making scheme of studies of BS
Physical Education and Sports Sciences at university of education. She followed
her passion and proved herself as a successful educator, trainer, and
researcher. She has a rare ability to provide a better understanding of all the
topics in sports science, health and physical education. She employs a
one-of-a-kind methodology that combines traditional teaching patterns with
unconventional topic research. She has vast field experience of sports. Her
research interests include sports sciences technologies, emerging technologies
in sports and sports education, teacher education, and educational training. A number
of articles by her have already been published in international and national
HEC-recognized journals.
