Dr. Umair Ashraf earned his doctorate degree from South China Agricultural University, Guangzhou China and a Fulbright Fellow at Michigan State University, USA for postdoc. He won many international awards among which Excellent PhD Dissertation Award, Outstanding International Student Award, Award of Excellence in Research, and Excellent International Student Award are the most prominent ones. His interdisciplinary and integrated research focuses on environmental stress mitigation in major field crops, plant nutrition management, and sustainable agronomic practices to enhance crop productivity and soil health under changing climatic conditions. He has led and collaborated on national and international projects and maintains active partnerships with institutions in China, Japan, and the US. Dr Ashraf has supervised numerous gradutes and is the Editor/Editorial board member of different SCI high impact journals. He is committed to build indutrial linkage, technology transfer and community outreach, aiming to bridge research and extension for a more sustainable agricultural future.
