Ms. Asma Kanwal is a notable Special Educationist & Researcher serving as Lecturer in department of Special Education, Division of Education, University of Education, Lahore. She is doing her PhD in Special Education (Hearing Impaired Children) from Institute of Special Education, University of the Punjab, Lahore. She earned her M.Phil. in Special Education (Sensory Impairment) degree from University of the Punjab, Lahore. She has expertise in the area of Hearing Impaired Children, sign language, using subjective and objective techniques for hearing assessment & evaluation, management of hearing aids & other assistive technology for students with hearing impairment, auditory training skills, speech assessment and therapy skills, counselling, presentation skills, interpersonal communication skills, content writing skills, developing & implementing IEP.
She conducted sign language workshops as a resource person. She actively participated as Master Trainer for the Capacity Building Training Program for the Public Sector Faculty of Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) under NAHE and PERU (Feb 28 to March 25, 2022).
She is member of Accessibility Committee as Disability Coordinator, Advisor of Students’ Society named “Inclusive Education Society” and Superintendent Girls Hostels, Township Campus, University of Education, Lahore.
She visited Malaysia for international conference in August-2022.
She has broad vision in special education field for quality life & the rehabilitation of special needs students, families, and communities to transform the society.
