Introduction:

Dr. Muhammad Ajmal born in 1988 in Multan and received his early education from Multan and Khanewal. He got his MSc degree in the subject of Chemistry with specialization in Physical Chemistry from the Department of Chemistry, Bahauddin Zakariya University, Multan, in 2010. Dr. Ajmal received his M.Phil degree from the Department of Chemistry, Quaid-i-Azam University, Islamabad in 2012. He was enrolled in PhD in the Department of Chemistry, Quaid-i-Azam University, Islamabad in 2012. During his PhD study, Dr. Ajmal also worked at Nanomaterials and Nanotechnology Research and Application Center, Canakkale Onsekiz Mart University, Canakkale, Turkey for one year on Research Fellowship Program for Foreign Citizens by TUBITAK Turkey. He has worked as a Visiting Faculty Member at the Department of Chemistry, Quaid-i-Azam University, Islamabad in 2015-16. He completed his PhD degree from the Department of Chemistry, Quaid-i-Azam University, Islamabad in 2016. He joined the Institute of Chemical Sciences, BZU Multan in 2016 as Assistant Professor of Physical Chemistry under the Interim Placement for Fresh PhDs (IPFP) program of the Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan. Dr. Ajmal joined the University of Education Attock Campus as Assistant Professor in April 2019. His research interests are the synthesis of hydrogels and hydrogel-metal nanocomposite for their applications as adsorbents, antibacterial agents, catalysts, biosensors, and drug delivery systems. He has published 43 research papers in impact factor journals of international repute by November 2023. Dr. Ajmal has presented his research work in many National and International Conferences in Pakistan as well as abroad. Dr. Ajmal is HEC approved supervisor. He has supervised 19 BS and 17 MPhil/MS research students.
