Introduction:

Dr Tayyaba Yasmin is an Associate Professor of English at the Division of Arts & Social Sciences, University of Education Lahore, Pakistan. She has over eighteen years of teaching experience at the Master, Bachelor, MPhil and PhD levels. She completed her PhD in Applied Linguistics from Govt. College University Faisalabad. Dr Yasmin has taught a wide range of courses, including Semantics, sociolinguistics, Pragmatics, Phonetics & Phonology, Introduction to Linguistics, Psycholinguistics, World Englishes, Technical Writing and Presentation Skills, Business Communication, Critical Discourse Analysis, and Research Methods.

Dr Yasmin is actively contributing to research in the areas of genre analysis, metadiscourse analysis, language testing, corpus linguistics, and language skills. Dr Yasmin has participated and presented papers in many national and international conferences and has publications in national and international journals. She has worked as a program coordinator of the Department of English at UE Bank Road Campus for over eight years. 

Dr Yasmin has attended several conferences related to education and language, as well as participated in numerous workshops and training events related to teaching and professional development. She has also coordinated several seminars and events for the Writers and Speakers Club at the Department of English at the University of Education Lahore. Dr Yasmin has also organized various workshops on corpus linguistics and phonetics and phonology.
