Introduction:

I have earned PhD (English) with specialization in Applied Linguistics from University of Education Lahore (Pakistan) in 2009, Certificate in ‘Assessment and Evaluation’ from Plymouth State University New Hampshire (USA) in 2007 and Certificate in Pre & In-Service Teachers’ Training from University Technology Malaysia, Malaysia, & University of the East Manila, The Philippines, in 2008. Apart from teaching I served University of Education Lahore in various capacities since 2002, such as Director, Division of Arts & Social Sciences (Oct 2011 to August 2013), Director, Directorate of Research (August 2013 to July 2015), Director Student Affairs (August 2019 to November 2019), and Registrar, University of Education (September 2022 to November 2022) whereas currently I am Chairperson of the Department of English, University of Education Lahore since January 2021. I also served Punjab Higher Education Commission from 1st August 2015 to 31st July 2018 as Director Training and as Director Training PHEC, I established, under the supervision of the Chairperson PHEC, first ever PHEC Staff Development Academy (Rs:176.087 million) by designing and executing three mega training projects along with short term training programs for College and University Faculty and Management, i.e., Induction Training of University Faculty 2016, Training of all College Principals in Punjab in 2016 and Induction Training all newly selected college cadre Lecturers in 2017 and onward.  At UE, I remained actively engaged as coordinator for all HEC sponsored/funded training programs under the auspices of NAHE, PCEPT, TESP, IOT, etc., from 2005 to July 2015 and assisted some public sector Universities to execute the same training programs for faculty and non-teaching staff. On the directions of the Higher Education Department, Govt of the Punjab and under the supervision of my leadership, the preparation and submission of PC-I of Punjab Academy of Higher Learning (Rs:919 million) in March 2020 is also one of my achievements but due to COVID-19 the project could not be realized. As Director Directorate of Research UE (2013 to 2015), I designed and executed the first in-service training program of all college teachers engaged in the teaching of BS program at 26 Government Colleges in Punjab. In 2021, I worked closely with HED, Govt of the Punjab to develop modules for college teachers on ‘Personality Development” and ‘Training of College Teachers & Management”. At UE, I have also served as a course developer, course development coordinator, workshop coordinator and worked closely with teachers coming from various levels. I have also presented papers in various national and international conferences on different areas of education in diverse contexts and am author of approximately 65 international and national peer reviewed research articles. Moreover, Higher Education Commission of Pakistan conferred upon me ‘The Best University Teacher Award 2010’, in July 2011’ the first ever given to the teacher of UE Lahore. Currently, I am member of University Consortium constituted committees for the development of training modules for affiliated college faculty & Administrative positions and University teachers and statutory positions.
