Submissions Guidelines

The editor/s welcome submissions of research papers/articles/book reviews based on original and new research ideas in the proper English language that have not been submitted elsewhere for publication. The manuscripts would only be considered that follow the journal’s format. Instructions for authors are given on the journal website. Only the electronic submissions in MS-Word format are accepted and should be submitted through (OJS link…………….

Paper Publication Process/Review Process

After a preliminary editorial review, articles will be sent to international reviewers who have expertise in the subject (for blind review). Authors/contributors will be informed about the comments of the reviewers and will be required to revise the article accordingly if required. The double-blind peer-review process of JRRE is completed in 7 steps. These are as follows:

1. Submission of Paper

The corresponding author submits a manuscript to JRRE journal using: (OJSs link). An email is forwarded to the corresponding author with an allocated manuscript code number as an acknowledgement. Editorial office evaluates the manuscript based on the following points and submits the assessment report to the editor. At this stage, the editorial office checks the similarity and manuscript preparation as per the authors’ guidelines. Quality and significance of the manuscript are not checked at this stage.

2. Initial Review or Appraisal by the Editor

The editor checks the report submitted by the editorial office and evaluates the manuscript on the basis of following points to ensure the quality, significance, and its contribution to relevant literature. If a manuscript fails to establish the elements of originality, significance, relevant contribution, or manuscript is indicating contradiction with the aims & scope of the journal it might be rejected at the desk review.

3. Review Processing of a paper consisted of three-phase

  1. Internal review
  2. External review I
  3. External review II

4. Submission of Review

Allocated time to complete the review is two to three weeks after the receipt of the paper. Before starting the review process, reviewers are requested to read the reviewer’s guidelines and instructions. Reviewers are requested to submit the review of the manuscript using the reviewer’s report sheet. Recommendations of reviewers include accepted (without change, with major, or minor changes) or rejected. Reviewers are requested to submit their review report using Journal Email (jrre@ue.edu.pk).

5. Corrections & Communication

The final decision is made by the editor and is forwarded to the corresponding author through an email, with all the comments and suggestions being made by the anonymous reviewers and the editor. Managing editor considers all the reviewers’ comments and a report is submitted to the editor before making the final decision. If assessments of reviewers differ widely, the editorial office may invite another reviewer before making the final decision. An email forwarded to corresponding authors indicating whether their manuscript has been accepted for the double blind peer-review process. Selected papers are forwarded to the associate editor, who handles the double blind peer-review process.

6. Acceptance & Publication

All accepted manuscripts are forwarded for publication in the upcoming volume/ issue. Manuscripts are accepted for the consideration with understanding that they are original material and are not under consideration for publication elsewhere. Further, the article should not have been published earlier in whole or in part in any other journal. Articles included in JRRE do not necessarily represent the views of the Editorial Board or the University of Education. It is the sole responsibility of the author/s.

7. Copyright

Copyright is vested in University of Education, Lahore. The article should not be reproduced whole or in part without the written permission of the Editor in Chief.
