Let’s play our role for the “Ecosystem Restoration” by creating awareness and action on World Environment Day 2021 through practical steps.
On the Eve of World Environment Day 2021, Directorate of Student Affairs is going to organize following Competitions for the students of all campuses of the university:
1. Short Video Competition
2. Essay/Article Writing Competition (Urdu + English)
3. Poster Competition (24*36 Inches)
These competitions will be Inter-Campuses and any student of any campus/division of University of Education, Lahore can participate. One student can send only one entry in a competition/category and multi-entries in same category/competition will lead to disqualification but one student can send entry in all categories/competitions once. Students will send their entries on the following email IDs for the said competitions

24*36 inches’ poster to be posted/mailed through registered courier service at “Directorate of Student Affairs, University of Education, College Road, Township, Lahore a day before the deadline”
till 10:00 PM on June 03, 2021 in attachment as AVI/MP4/MOV format file (For Short Video Competition), PDF/DOCX/INPAGE format file (For Essays/Article Writing Competition) and JPEG/TIFF/PDF file format (For Poster Competition) along with their Name, Father Name, CNIC, Class, Session, Campus and Phone Number from their personal email IDs.
*****Rules & Regulations*****
*For Short Video Competition*
1. Theme will be “Practical Steps for Ecosystem Restoration”
2. Duration of video will be 120-150 Seconds
3. Video should have background music or voiceover in Urdu/English only
4. Video will be AVI/MP4/MOV format only
5. Video should have good quality and sound effects but file should not exceed 10 MB
6. Video can be shared directly in email or drive link with option to download
7. Already existing video/Slides show voiceover will be rejected. Video must not contain any copyrighted work(s) belonging to third parties.
8. The recommended ratio is 16:9
9. Video must contain a public awareness message / action regarding World Environment Day
10. Judges decision will be final and cannot be challenged
11. Late entries will not be entertained
12. Video must reflect the awareness and action on the theme
*For Essays/Article Writing Competition*
1. Topic for Urdu will be “ماحولیاتی نظام کی بحالی اور ہماری ذمہ داریاں” and for English will be “Ecosystem Restoration and our Responsibilities”
2. Essay/Article will be between 1200-1400 words
3. For English it should be typed in Times New Roman’s and for Urdu it should be typed in “خط نستعلیق”
4. For English font size will be 12 with heading of 14 and in Urdu 18 and 20 respectively
5. Copied material from any source will lead to disqualification as similarity index will be checked
6. Extra weightage will be given to the use of relevant verses/poetry
7. Judges decision will be final and cannot be challenged
8. Late entries will not be entertained
9. Essay/Article must reflect the awareness and action on the topic
*For Poster Competition*
1. Theme will be “Practical Steps for Ecosystem Restoration”
2. Poster Size will 24 by 36 inches
3. Any kind of Pencil, Pen, Marker and Brush with Paint can be used
4. Image pasting is allowed on the poster
5. Poster can be horizontal or vertical
6. A small credit line with the student’s name, class and campus is allowed
7. Judges decision will be final and cannot be challenged
8. Poster image should be share on provided email ID and Original Poster should reach at provided address not later than 10 AM on 04-06-2021 otherwise will be considered late
9. Other city than Lahore students should post the poster till 02-06-2021
10. Already existing poster sketching or replica will be rejected
11. Judges decision will be final and cannot be challenged
12. Late entries will not be entertained
13. Poster must reflect the awareness and action on the theme
The winners of competitions will be awarded Cash Prize 1st @ Rs. 5000, 2nd @ Rs. 3000 and 3rd @ Rs. 2000. The competitions Result Announcement will be made on June 05, 2021 online. The position holder Essays/Articles/Images/Videos will be published on all official forums (Social Media, Website, Newsletter etc) of the University of Education, Lahore.
