UE Dispatched First Batch of 15 Tons of Relief Goods and Medical Team for Flood Victims

On the directions of the Governor Punjab Muhammad Baligh-ul-Rehman, University of Education, Lahore has dispatched the first batch of 15 tons of relief goods to the countrymen affected by worst floods and rains, along with a team of senior medical officer, staff, teachers and students under the supervision of Director Student Affairs Dr. Muhammad Umar Saleem on September 1, 2022. This team will organize 4-day medical camp in various flood-affected areas of Rajanpur and Dera Ghazi Khan Districts. Free medicines will be provided along with check-ups by senior doctors in these medical camps. With the cooperation of teachers, staff and students, University of Education, Lahore collected 15 tons of relief goods including medicines, clothes, rice, ghee, sugar, dry fruits for the flood victims in a very short time from University relief centers. UE also issued the account number of National Bank of Pakistan (IBAN: PK38NBPA1669003036035243) for depositing funds. Talking on this occasion, Vice Chancellor University of Education, Lahore Professor Dr. Talat Naseer Pasha (S.I.) said that it is impossible to describe the sufferings of our compatriots due to the worst flood. By attending to them, we can surely heal their wounds. Today we need to show the same passion to help the poor Pakistanis that the local people showed for the poor people who migrated during the establishment of Pakistan. The Vice-Chancellor has once again appealed for full assistance to the flood victims. A large number of teachers, staff and students were present on this occasion, including Pro Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Muhammad Arsha, Director SnT Prof. Dr. Muhammad Alam Saeed.
