UE observed Youm-e-Istehsal-e-Kashmir with great reverence, solidarity, and commitment to the cause of Kashmiri freedom

Lahore (August 5, 2025) — The University of Education, Lahore, observed Youm-e-Istehsal-e-Kashmir on August 5 with great reverence, solidarity, and commitment to the cause of Kashmiri freedom. The day was marked by a series of events including rallies, seminars, and awareness activities held across various campuses, strongly condemning India's unconstitutional actions of August 5, 2019, and expressing unwavering support for the Kashmiri people.

The main event took place at the Township Campus, where Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Aqif Anwar Chaudhry, faculty members, students, administrative officers, and staff participated in large numbers.

Addressing the gathering, Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Aqif Anwar Chaudhry described August 5, 2019, as a dark chapter in Kashmir’s history, when India, in violation of UN resolutions and international laws, revoked the special status of Jammu and Kashmir. He reiterated that the Pakistani nation stands firmly with its Kashmiri brothers and sisters in every circumstance.

He further stated that the University of Education remains committed to raising awareness about the Kashmir issue among students and will continue its efforts to educate the youth on this pressing matter. The ceremony concluded with a special prayer for the liberation of Kashmir and for the forgiveness of the martyrs.
