The 10th meeting of the Benevolent Fund Management Board was held at the University of Education, Lahore yesterday, chaired by Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Talat Naseer Pasha (Sitara-e-Imtiaz). In the meeting, a complete package of Umrah was given to 2 lucky winners through lottery while grants were also approved in different programs. In the meeting, according to the Umrah package policy, one lucky person was selected for BS-01 to BS-15 scale and one for BS-16 to above. According to the results of the lottery, Assistant Professor, Sadia Bashir of the Division of Science and Technology and Janitorial Assistant, Ahsan Mahmood from the Registration Office were declared lucky. On this occasion, educational scholarships were given to 32 children of the employees from Benevolent Fund, marriage grant to 3 employees, monthly grant to widows of 11 employees who died during service, funeral and burial grant to 14 employees, farewell grant to one employee and fee reimburse to 52 children from the Benevolent Fund.
Speaking on the occasion, Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Talat Naseer Pasha (Sitara-e-Imtiaz) congratulated the lucky employees selected for Umrah. The Vice Chancellor also appreciated the efforts of the Benevolent Fund Management Board and said that the Board has done a great job and served the employees well. He directed all the employees to work hard not only for the development of their university but also for the development of their country as it is the right and duty of their institution and country.
