About the Centre

The Women Development Centre (WDC) is established at University of Education, Lahore with the cooperation and collaboration of Women Development Department, Government of the Punjab.

Aim of WDC

The Women Development Centre (WDC) envisions to enable university female students to be global change-makers through its holistic personal and professional development programmes, designed to hone their knowledge, skills and competencies. The WDC, through its inclusive capacity building programmes, aims to equip the students with the tools, strategies and motivation to perform their roles effectively and efficiently. Furthermore, the WDC aims to offer opportunities of learning to develop entrepreneurial mindset among students to empower them to be future entrepreneurs/edupreneur/social entrepreneurs. The centre will also serve as an open forum for promoting awareness and dialogue on imminent challenges faced by women and a platform for preparing them to break and go beyond the ceiling.
